Mac provides a welcoming and inclusive space where people can share their thoughts, experiences, and challenges free from judgement. He takes a collaborative approach to therapy and is passionate about helping individuals align their lives with their personal values.

Mac’s areas of interest include working with sexual functioning (such as erectile dysfunction and pain), supporting individuals adjusting to new or ongoing health diagnoses, helping people navigate sexuality and challenges with relationships, and addressing the factors that affect sexual health — such as mental health, chronic health conditions, and social or cultural influences that may conflict with one’s own personal values.

Mac has worked in diverse clinical settings, including university outpatient clinics, clinical research trials, private practice, outpatient pain medicine, and community health rehabilitation. He has supported individuals with lived experience of neurodivergence, health-related challenges (in the context of post-acute and chronic conditions, such as cardiac rehabilitation and persistent pain), stress, adjustment difficulties, mood disorders, and anxiety.

Mac’s practice is guided by the belief that every person has the potential to overcome challenges and live a life that is fulfilling for them. His approach is informed by evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Sensate Focus Therapy and Person-Centred Therapy. He works with individuals from all walks of life, tailoring interventions to their unique needs and circumstances.

Mac is neurodiversity affirming, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, sex positive, and welcoming of individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives.
